Septum Piercing Body Jewelry Styles

The Septum piercing is an extremely popular body piercing that can be sleek, sophisticated and intimidating. Easily accessorized, this body piercing has a quick heal time, is easily hidden and is absolutely stunning. As for body jewelry, tiny Seam Rings, Circular Barbells and Captive Bead Clusters are just a few of the body jewelry options utilized in a Septum piercing. From sparkling gems to subdued stone settings, there is a style for everyone!

While it is easily hidden from view, the Septum piercing can sport a variety of body jewelry options. Some of those options include the following:

Retainers-You better hide that piercing at work!
    Circular Barbells
    Captive Bead Rings
    Clusters
    Seam Rings
    Segment Rings
    Tusks
    Pinchers
    Straight Barbells
    Eyelets and Tunnels

Read on to discover the jewelry pieces for you!

Need to hide your Septum piercing for work?

If hiding is your goal, select a Retainer! The Septum piercing is no stranger to the game of peek-a-boo. A Retainer is perfect for wearers who prefer a choice between showing off their Septum piercing and hiding it from mom. As for visual appeal, colors can be anodized and various lengths are available. The Retainer is also functionally designed to be in a “locked” or “unlocked” position. When it is tucked up and nestled safely on either side of the Septum, the Retainer is “locked”, reducing the chances of accidental retainer loss. This position allows the wearer to hide the Septum piercing without removing jewelry (TSFW…Totally Safe For Work).

In the “unlocked” position, you can show off your Septum piercing. In this position, it is easier to accidentally knock the body jewelry out during rough play or even during a kissing session (noses get a lot of action during a kiss!). I actually lost my Retainer after making out and after not finding it; I dismissed it as falling behind the bed. A week later while I was trying on clothes in Target, I sneezed twice. After the second sneeze, I felt something tickling inside my nose. I got closer to the mirror and stared up into my big nostrils. There was something shiny in the back of my nostril! So I did the farmer sneeze (covered one nostril and blew out) and out came my jewelry! Moral of the story, make sure to turn your retainer into the upright, “locked” position before rough play, sports and nose impact activities.

View our septum piercing retainers here. The U shaped style is the most comfortable for daily wear. The metal versions, either stainless steel or titanium are best. Some people prefer the crystal clear borosilicate glass retainers in the U shaped style; we offer these by custom order only at this time. Feel free to contact us to discuss which style would work best for you. Our professional, licensed body piercer will personally assist you with your questions.
