What is that thing hanging from your nose?
A septum piercing ring of course! One of the boldest facial piercings, the septum piercing, it gets a lot of attention and for good reason! It's hard to miss something that is featured directly center on your face. Unlike the nostril piercing, which is always to the left or right of the septum, the septum piercing is pierced horizontally through the soft tissue in front of your septum. Some people have enough room to stretch their septum piercing or to have it pierced multiple times. Septum stacking is a term that refers to piercing devotees that have multiple septum piercings or stretched septums. This allows the piercee to "stack" multiple rings to create an even more demanding look. Smaller diameter rings in the top and larger diameter rings in the back can create a staggered look while two rings of the same diameter creates a more bold look.
